About us
Built by the people who needed it.
We're Wes and Quinn Johnson, and we co-founded Homeschool Harbor together. We've homeschooled our own amazing kids for seven years, and between mailing lists, sign-up sheets, and a payment app held together with tape, we knew there had to be a better way to run a homeschool community — one that respects families' data instead of selling it.
We built Homeschool Harbor for groups like the ones we've been part of: secular, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming, and tired of software that treats their families' data as the product. We're still a small team, still building, and still homeschooling — so when we say we know what your group needs, we mean it.
Wes Johnson
Wes is a full stack web developer and software architect. He built the Homeschool Harbor hub families use daily, and he's the reason "no code, no developer required" isn't just a tagline. His vision is to provide a high-quality hub that meets the needs of all progressive homeschool groups, co-ops, and collectives.
Quinn Johnson, M.Ed.
Quinn spent over 22 years in education before co-founding Homeschool Harbor with Wes, including a stretch as Assistant Director at a private Montessori school. She's seen homeschool groups and co-ops from every angle — as an educator, an administrator, and a homeschool parent — and she is passionate about shaping this product around what organizers and families actually need day to day.
